7th Annual Dodgeball Tournament – SUCCESS!
Thank you to the First United Methodist Church Lindale for hosting the 2016 7th Annual Duck & Dive Dodgeball Tournament benefiting the East Texas Crisis Center. The event was a tremendous success. More than seventy participants played their hearts out. With parents and other spectators, 100+ people came into our church for the tournament. The tournament raised more than $1,200 and donated over fifty containers of diapers and more than 80 packages of wet wipes.
The Duck & Dive Dodgeball Tournament is the brainchild of Connor Lind, son of Denise Lind. At eleven years old, Connor volunteered for the East Texas Crisis Center and his heart was changed. This annual dodgeball tournament began with his desire to make a difference in the lives of the children and families that he met.
Congratulations to the tournament champions and to all who participated. There were only winners on January 2nd!
