The East Texas Crisis Center received a grant from TransCanada for the Children’s Prevention & Education Program. This will be the third grant that TransCanada has funded for the program.
The East Texas Crisis Center provides services to victims of family violence and sexual assault at no cost. The Children’s Prevention & Education Program is needed to intervene and prevent future learned behaviors that result from the devastating effects of family violence. The program is designed to stabilize the emotional and physical well-being of each child, increase their sense of safety and improve their ability to perform at their grade level in school.
We place special emphasis that Early Intervention is the key to breaking the cycle of violence; EDUCATION is the means to promote long lasting change.
“Again, TransCanada is proud to be part of the energy and enthusiasm surrounding the community event and the commitment we have in partnering with the East Texas Crisis Center”, said Mr. Tim Fehr, Community Relations Specialist.
