The East Texas Crisis Center (ETCC) seeks applicants for the position of Director of Development. This is a new position and is part of the senior leadership team within the agency. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. The Director of Development will oversee the fundraising and advancement plan of the agency.
Position Summary:
The Director of Development’s primary responsibility is the strategic creation, execution, and management of a comprehensive development and fundraising plan including the coordination of existing fundraising events, creation of new fundraising initiatives, cultivating long-term donors, marketing and public relations for the agency, and managing private grants. This position will directly supervise the current coordinator of major gifts/private grants writer. This position will be responsible in assisting the Executive Director in marketing and improving the functioning of the agency’s thrift store. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relative field required. Minimum five years of development and fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector required. Experience building and leading teams is preferred. Knowledge and experience working in donor database. Demonstrated fundraising success including donor prospecting, research, and conversion. Experience in planning and executing large scale fundraising events and marketing/public relations. Foundation grant writing experience required.
Job Type:
Full-time, Monday- Friday, some evenings required for special events. Work schedule is flexible.
