Objective:
Front Desk coverage and first point of contact, by phone and in person, with victims of family violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes in Henderson County.
General Description:
Provide telephone and front desk coverage.
10% schedule and confirm client appointments.
12% conduct new client intakes and ensure completion of appropriate paperwork. Assign new client numbers daily, create new client files, and maintain computerized client file database. Attach required forms to gather client statistical data.
10% provide crisis intervention, information and referrals and follow-up with clients as necessary.
5% perform daily data entry of client services statistics and prepare monthly summary reports.
1% attend weekly staff meetings.
1% assist with other administrative duties as requested by supervisor.
1% maintain general order and cleanliness of work area.
Monitor lobby and waiting areas; keep reception area neat & orderly on a daily basis.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have experience with filing, typing, computer entry, and word processing programs. Familiarity with letter forms and other types of correspondence needed. Professional communication skills essential.
Supervision:
Receptionist is a full-time non-exempt position and supervised by the Sr. Director of Programs.

Training:
Receptionist will complete the next available volunteer/staff training.
Work Schedule:
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
