RETAIL MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION OF TYLER Charitable Fund at East Texas Communities Foundation has graciously awarded $10,000 to support the Children’s Prevention & Education Program at the East Texas Crisis Center. This program serves children living in the center’s emergency shelter who have witnessed or experienced the devastating effects of family violence or sexual assault. Special emphasis is given to helping children catch up to grade level provided through after-school tutoring and Summer Camp reading, writing, math and science labs. In addition, Early Childhood Development classes are provided for children ages 3-5 to help prepare them for successful entry into structured kindergarten and elementary classroom settings.
